Optimisitic Coloring Books
Our Mission
My name is Olivia Avalon DuPont and I am a high school senior who loves collecting optimistic quotes and drawing illustrations inspired by these uplifting messages, so I created the Optimistic Coloring Book Series. My children's coloring books combine famous leaders' inspirational quotes and cheerful illustrations featuring my original, playful characters.
In 2021, I embarked on a mission to make the world a better place by bringing hope and joy to hospitalized children and their families through the gift of my Optimistic Coloring Books.
To date, I have created six volumes of my Optimistic Coloring Book Series and have made multiple rounds of gifts to 160 children's hospitals across the USA and in Australia, Botswana, Canada, Kenya, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Zimbabwe.
I am currently working on Volume 7, which I will donate to our network of children's hospitals in Spring 2024.
I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to my mom for nurturing a deep sense of empathy within me and instilling a lifelong commitment to giving back, shaping who I've become and setting the trajectory for my future.
Our History:
In the summer of 2021, my first gifts were printed copies of my Optimistic Coloring Book, Vol. 1 to 300 children with cancer at OAK's Camp Reach For The Sky. This gift was made possible because of the wonderful Audrey Eller and generous funding by The Optimists Club Del Mar - Solana Beach. Special thanks to the TPHS Jr. Optimist Club members for their contributions too.
Next, I decided to gift a digital version of my Optimistic Coloring Book, Vol. 1 to Rady Children's Hospital in my hometown of San Diego.
But this was just the beginning ...
Inspired by the overwhelmingly positive feedback we received, my brother and best friend, Kenneth DuPont, founded the Optimistic Coloring Books Gifting Program in 2021 as a platform to reach thousands of hospitalized children across the USA and internationally.
In January 2023, I became Co-Director of the Optimistic Coloring Books Gifting Program, and, by joining forces with Kenneth, we've expanded our gift recipients to 160 children's hospitals. My collaborative efforts with executives in donation, gifting, and foundations, each representing diverse backgrounds and communities, have enriched my understanding that it is compassion that unites us. I am also deeply appreciative of the dedicated teams of Child Life Specialists, nurses, and volunteers who print and distribute my coloring book pages to the young patients under their care.
It is an honor to dedicate my coloring books to the children whose courage and strength are inspiring. Please take comfort and draw strength from knowing that you are not alone and so many people care about you. I'm sending you smiles, hugs, and my very best wishes for your good health!

My name is Kenneth DuPont and I am the Founder and Director of the Optimistic Coloring Books International Gifting Program, a Sophomore at UC Davis, and Olivia's big brother.
After thinking about the smiles and inspiration that Optimistic Coloring Book, Vol. 1 brought to hundreds of hospitalized children at Rady Children's Hospital and 300 children with cancer at OAK's camp, in the summer of 2021, I decided to create a nationwide and international gifting program with the expressed goal of reaching as many hospitalized and critically ill children as possible.
Thus far, we've made multiple rounds of gifts of Olivia's Optimistic Coloring Book, Vol. 1-6, in digital format, to 160 children's hospitals and organizations across the USA and Australia, Botswana, Canada, Kenya, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Zimbabwe.
In January 2023, Olivia took on the position of Co-Director of Gifting, playing a crucial role in advancing and expanding our gift-giving initiatives.
Our dedication to brightening the spirits of critically ill children and their families continues as we made our sixth gift, the uplifting fall-themed Optimistic Coloring Book Vol. 6 to our network of children's hospitals in November, 2023.

On July 10, 2021, Olivia DuPont and Kenneth DuPont were delighted to join OAK (Oncology and Kids) Co-Founder, Robby YODA Medina, and his spirited and compassionate staff, counselors, and volunteers to help distribute CR4TS boxes to 300 children with cancer and their families participating in OAK's Camp Reach for the Sky in San Diego, CA.
As a special gift, each of the 300 child campers received a beautifully printed copy of Olivia's Optimistic Coloring Book, Vol. 1. We are so grateful to the wonderful Audrey Eller and The Optimist Club of Del Mar - Solana Beach for generously funding the printing of Olivia's book.
